(thk) In April, right before the first kick-off of the Soccer World Cup in South Africa two bands from the host country are going to tour through Germany. To be more precise, we are talking about the famous band Watershed from Johannesburg –in Germany known for their beautiful acoustic ballad “Indigo Girl” since 2002- and the awesome trio Mac Stanley from Cape Town, acclaimed since they released “As I Am”. Mac Stanley’s front man Andrew Mac is not only known for his powerful voice but also represents his country as a FIFA ambassador for this year’s  competition.
For the German market, both bands were discovered locally in South Africa. Mac Stanley was spotted by Armin Reutershahn, since 2009 co-trainer of the 1.FC Nürnberg, whereas Watershed was introduced to the audience by a SWR broadcasting DJ who listened to their music during a holiday trip.

This shared tour of both groups is supposed to reach a broad audience as lovely acoustic/ pop/ rock concerts can be expected. No doubt about the band’s qualities as Watershed’s sound is often compared to the sound of R.E.M. Further, it is said that Mac Stanley’s sound shares characteristics with bands such as U2, Counting Crows, Maroon 5, Jack Johnson, James Blunt, David Gray and last but not least John Mayer. What more could we ask for?
