FROM THE COLD HEART OF SCANDINAVIA WITH AN UNTAMED LOVE FOR HARMONIC INDIE ROCK HERE COMES COPENHAGEN THREE PIECE: “MOUNT RUSHMORE SAFARI”.

The Danes released their debut album “Elba” in 2013-14 in Denmark and Germany. The album was received well by the media, and single “John Wayne” got airplay on 50 radio stations all over Germany, where the band has been touring frequently since.

“Mount Rushmore Safari” returns in 2015/16 with their follow up entitled “Songs for Ones Who Break” that is to be released in Denmark, Germany and the Benelux countries.

Where “Elba” in so many ways was an album that told stories of depression with a good deal of the lyrics gathered from singer Andreas Sorgenfrei’s own personal downfall, and time working as night watchman in an institution for psychically ill youngsters, the first single from the band’s upcoming second album shows signs of a quite different and rather optimistic state of mind.

The band has been working hard on the writing and recording of their second album while being on the road promoting “Elba” in Denmark with more than 60 concerts all together, touring with fellow danish indie pop genius Kim Munk and “The Broken Beats”, as well as the critically acclaimed “Bella Union” darlings “The Kissaway Trail”.

The band describes “Songs For Ones Who Break” as the recipe of a great friendship that took form during the many hours being on the road, rehearsing and recording together. Many of the songs were inspired by that special vibe of being a little gang that no one can touch, a feeling that one unarguably can feel the presence of on a song like “River of Light”.

“We stepped out of the dark and into the light with this album.” Singer Andreas Sorgenfrei explains continuing: “In the studio a lot of things also were quite different. We had a lot more to say as a band production wise, and were much more determined on doing what we wanted to do, rather than taking advice from our producers.”

“Songs For Ones Who Break” will come out in Germany in the Spring of 2016, and in Denmark and the Benelux countries in the Fall of 2015.
